What are the causes of fibroids?

One of the most common problems when it comes to infertility and the reproductive organs in women is the appearance of tumors that are not cancerous in the uterus and that are called uterine fibroids. The causes of fibroids are not really known however, these tumors can grow very big in size and this can create symptoms like anemia and it can also be very painful, especially at the time of menstruation.
It is very difficult to estimate the amount of people suffering from these tumors all over the world; however, studies have shown that the amount is very large, and that people between the age of 30 and 50 years of age are at higher risk of getting them. However, it has also been seen that people from African countries tend to get these problems more easily than those from the United States and other European countries. The causes of fibroids is not fully understood yet, however, it is considered to be a very painful condition if it does not get resolved naturally.
Other studies have also found that one of the main causes of infertility all around the world is the existence of fibroids in the uterine walls. These growths whether small or big are not allowing the eggs to get implanted in the walls and therefore, the women are suffering from infertility problems even if they don’t have any other symptoms, except the regular menstrual pains that most women experience anyway.
Research has also shown that one of the major causes of growths in the uterine wall which causes fibroids is due to the unbalance in the secretion of estrogen in the body especially at the time of pregnancy. This is considered to be a natural phenomenon, and once the estrogen levels come down the tumors will also shrink and die away in no time.
The hormonal imbalance in the system creates these growths and it is also seen that hormones like progesterone are causing these tumors to be created and their presence in the body does not help in the natural process of getting rid of them.
However, it has been seen that women having hormonal imbalance problems due to certain lifestyle problems like obesity and other hormonal related problems are more apt to get these tumors. Also, the intake of some kinds of drugs like high blood pressure pills can create these conditions as well.
Hygiene seems to have a very strong relation to the formation and fibroid causes, and it is also seen that people that use tampons on regular basis tend to get these tumors more than those that opt for sanitary pads. Also, the use of IUDs can create a difference to some women and it can create problems that are related to the fibroid growths and its causes.
